I just got written up for drinking in college in PA, can my license actually be suspended in NJ?

So heres what happened. I was caught pissing on a building by public safety. They brought me in to the the college campus safety building and took my BAC. After blowing around a 0.10, they told me to show them my drivers license. Obviously I would recieve a fine for drinking underage at age 19, but one of the public safety officers also said my license in NJ could possibly be suspended for 90 days. Is this actually true. Given that I'm a freshman, I don't even have a car here, nor do I even own my own car, why would I be written up for DUI. Why would my driving privelages get suspended for drinking a bit? Were they just saying that to scare me?

you keep asking this...it cant affect your license. you cant even get arrested for having alcohol in your system under age. you can only get in trouble if you are possessing it underage. and it still wont affect your license.
stop asking this crazy question

DWI: Plea for a 1st time offender in NJ?

I just got a DUI in NJ and I'm very scared and nervous. I understand how serious this offense is and I am deeply sorry for my bad judgement. I would like to know if there is any history of a fist time offender to plead guilty to a lesser charge, ect? I will do community service, pay fines, ect...but I do not want this on my record forever.

PLEASE HELP.

Your best chance for lienacy is to get into an alcohol treatment program before your court date. And I am speaking inpatient in a hospital or other facility. You can bet it will be on your record for 5 years. In such cases you don't get pleas. Too much evidence with the breath or blood test. Though a smart person at near the legal point should go for the blood test. I'm in Oregon and DUII has an additional consequence. It makes a DUII convictee forever ineligible to own firearms. Sufficent evidence of chronic use of alcohol, a requirement on Federal Firearms registration. In most states the record will stay with you forever. For instance, I quite easily looked up George W Bush's DUII arrest in Maine in the 1970's. You did a foolish thing, I won't believe for the first time either. To get caught a person has to drive drunk on the average of 34 times.
