7. The most alcoholic beverage that can be legally purchased (in some places) is Everclear, with up to 95% pure alcohol content, drinking this will get you blind… literally (alcohol)
8. The hallucinogen in Absinthe is called "grande wormwood" and also known as the green fairy. So potent is this, that Vanuatu passed a law specifically prohibiting the sale of this in bars and nightclubs. Also, it was once thought that drinking too much of the stuff gave you a specific disease, appropriately called "Absinthism."
9. Alcohol as we know it is in fact "ethanol" which is used as an alternative fuel to petrol.
