Crossing the Border for Vacation?
If a person lost their license in the United States for "Driving after having consumed alcohol" which is a Zero Tolerance Violation, is he/she allowed to enter Canada for vacation? Or do the same rules apply as if he/she had been convicted of a DUI or DWI? I ask because i know that if you were convicted of DUI or DWI you are Not allowed to enter Canada until 5 years after the "Penalty" ended. I would like to know if this weighs the same.
Thanks for the help
Driving after consuming alcohol is not the same as Driving While Impaired. It is a Zero Tolerance Violation for those who are under 21, at least in New York It could almost be considered a "i'm gonna teach you a lesson" thing. My friend was pulled over and for another traffic violation and being it was late at night the officer made him take a breathalizer. He blew something like a .029 or something which is only slightly higher than the .02 which is allowed.
They proberly will not let u enter here cos Canadians think of Driving after having consumed alcohol a big crime.
