I was charged with receiving stolen property in the 3rd. Anybody know the punishment?
I told the cop that I didn't know it was stolen, which I didn't, so while in booking he wrote me a ticket for it and told me to pay it before my court date and I should be good. Anybody know if there will be any other punishment? I also might add that I have no record or priors besides a DUI in the state of California but this recent charge is in the state of Alabama.
No, if he just wrote you a ticket, then that is the punishment. They can't prosecute you twice for the same crime. As soon as you pay it, it's over.
