Partying and the law? how bad could drinking at 15 be , but not driving?
OK well I'm 15 years old and I live in the state of Florida.
I'm going to a party this sunday and there will be alcohol there, and a parent supervising.
Well no one drives and we won't be loud, were just going to have a few drinks. No one will be driving.
But let's just say the cops come to my friends house and catch us drinking ?
Who would get in trouble ?
and would we be left with a warning considering we were not driving?
Will MY parents get fined or will my friends mom get fined since she is supervising us to make sure we don't hurt ourselves. ?
and what if a few days after the party the cops find out there was alcohol there and pull us to the office from school and ask us if we drank ? But we have nothing in our system since it stays for like 3 hours?
SO WHAT ARE THE PENALTIES FOR HAVING ALCOHOL IN YOUR SYSTEM BUT YOUR NOT DRIVING , BUT YOUR 15 YEARS OLD AND YOU LIVE IN FLORIDA ? FIRST OFFENSE!

It doesn't matter that you're not driving...but it does matter that you're a minor in possession of alcohol even after you've had a drink.
You can have a juvenile petition signed against you and go before the court and the adult present can be arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
You can look at other responses from the past from those who've asked about this same topic. Their responses were "Florida is a "Zero Tolerance" state and it's not woth the trouble!"
Just something to think about!
