Overconfidence in Wealth Building- is Like Driving Drunk- Dangerous-

Don't be too over Confidence- Don’t Over Cook The Goose

Here is two very interesting stats, did you know that 90% of people believe they are great drivers? Did you know that 90% of all traders go Broke?

Let’s analyze this for a moment.  So if 90% of drivers are great drivers, where are all the bad drivers?   Now I am not sure about your driving experiences, but when I am on the road, it feels like 90% are Terrible drivers.( I am certain in the 10% of good drivers, the car accidents where the other drivers fault)

90% of Traders blow themselves up? Why they get over confident too quick, they get a couple of winning trades and all of sudden they are Lewis Hamilton of the trading world. It takes time, patience and lots of practice.

So, how can so many think they are Lewis Hamilton?

The answer is that almost everyone that gets behind the wheel, as car drivers and traders they can suffer from overconfidence. And, in the stock market, just like when you are driving overconfidence can be very dangerous, and in some cases fatal.

One Winning Trade- Don’t Need That Plan- Don’t Need That Advice

As soon as traders lose on of the most vital tools and get a dose of overconfidence is that you might consider that you no longer need to follow your trading plan.

This can often happen when you start having a run of successful trades – you suddenly feel like Superman!

One of the first signs of this syndrome is the TIME to up the Size- Bigger positions, thinking I can make all of this money.  Major Mistake.

After a run of successful trades, you might feel the burning desire to increase the trade size, bigger trades, Big wins. However, position sizing and capital management, risk management is only useful if it is consistently used. One breakdown is enough to severely affect your long-term performance. Almost like overheating the car once, it tends to have long term affects on the future performance of the vehicle.

And overconfidence is possibly the most common reason for investors’ discipline to breakdown, and they will then start to chase the money back. This is the turning point from trader to Gambler.

This is why if you have a good BROKER they can also help you monitor the position size, talk them about your trading plan so they can help you implement this successfully. If you are looking for a great broker, then the CFD FX REPORT has recently researched all the Forex Brokers and CFD Providers so if you are looking for one, look on their website or email support@cfdfxreport.com

THE STOCK MARKET THROUGH YOUR OVER CONFIDENT EYES?

When you become overconfident it simply changes the way you look at the stock market, almost like when you drink and drive, you think your fine but things really aren’t the same.

The more stable trader will look at a potential trade and focus on the possible downside.  “How much could I lose?” Now before each trade they will think: “How much will I lose if this trade goes wrong?” “Can I afford to lose this money?”

Overconfidence is the Knowledge to Know Everything. Once it hits, your mindset changes

They no longer look at trades as something that produces risk. They will view trades through this way, how much money I am going to make. Before each trade they will think: “How much can I make on this one?” Yeah should be able to make X amount from this trade.

Smart traders will always view any trade through one way: “How much can I lose, what is the potential downside, what is the risk vs reward?”

Any other way of looking at the market signals overconfidence, and is likely to cost you a lot of money, and potentially blow you up as trader.

Always make sure you have your rules and plan close by, make sure before each trade that you check your rules and plans.

Happy Trading!

nj dui fines

I thought my lisence was suspended but I actually have a warrant for my arrest. What can I do?

I was charged with my second dui. I pleaded guilty and paid my fines. My suspension did not start til the breahilyzerr was proved workable which it was. thousands of cases were held up in NJ for this. In June I was out of state and a court date was scheduled in which i was to turnover my lisensce I phoned in and they made note that i was out of state but complied to suspension. I received a bill from lawyer for not showin and ultimately had a warrant out for my arrest which i did not know about. Will I be able to get credit for time I wasnt driving or is it still and open case? I have not drove since end of June bc I thought my liscense was suspended. I know I have to answer the active warrant but is it only bs of failure to appear or am I in deeper trouble bc its been 7 months, My lawyer hasnt tried to contact me only sends a bill for him showin up in court and me not. Please help

why did your lawyer show up in Court if he did not resolve this issue?
Who did you phone if not your lawyer...he was the only one that could have made your being out of State valid.
Once you are back in the State where your warrant is issued, you will be arrested....and am guessing IF you did not notify your lawyer that you be out of State he could not very well defend you...so you will end up going through the process again....phone your lawyer and ask him "what now?"
it is NOT the lawyers job to contact you...you need to contact him and pay his bill

Article on DUI Prediction Patterns

You don't need to pay a visit to Las Vegas for gambling. People who don't profess to be gamblers play the dice each time when they are behind the wheel intoxicated or drunken. This is the case with about 33% Americans who are engaged in a traffic accident some time or the other in their lives. About 39% of automobile deaths are associated with drunken driving. These drunken drivers are in effect playing with human lives, which results in creation of invasive rules which are meant to prevent or deter drunken driving. When there is an accident, there is no gainer – only losers.

The first person to be convicted of drunken driving was a taxi driver named George Smith. He was made to pay 20 shillings as a fine and this event subsequently led to the formulation of legislations on drunken driving in 1910. Early laws required proof of the intoxication, without specifically stating what the type of the intoxication was. The rules of observation to estimate whether a person is intoxicated or not were establishing driving patterns that were impaired or erratic. These were succeeded by field sobriety tests like walking in a straight line or standing on a single foot for half a minute.

The guilt could be demonstrated by using the tests that were based on the opinion of the police officer regarding possible impairment. The tests were subjective and often inaccurate. The first laws on the basis of the presence of a certain amount of alcohol content in the blood had been introduced in Norway in 1936. The blood alcohol content or BAC test was invented although all of them were not dependable. These tests have now been supplemented with chemical tests. It has been observed that the percentage of alcohol in the blood helps determine guilt levels.

Then there were the check points of sobriety which made the drivers stop without a known cause whatsoever for taking sobriety and breath related tests. Although the action violates the constitution, the Supreme Court deemed the practice as constitutional in 1990. Drivers often receive charges such as murder, man slaughter and homicide. A lot of drunk drivers who have been convicted receive a minimum punishment of suspension of their license and even at times jail sentences for a brief period of time for their first offences, or treatment programs. Be careful with driving under influence as you might be gambling with others' lives.
